EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
How does an editor get eye-catching shots of interesting people and locations that support the content of his article or properly illustrate the viewpoint of her book? We’re not talking quickie snapshots done with on-camera flash. We’re talking good editorial photography with intriguing camera angles and clever lighting. We’re talking about a photographer with lots of experience carrying bags of specialized equipment through airports to remote locations. Upon arrival the photographer has to assess the situation and leverage the conditions for maximum effect. Good, sharp, useable shots consisting of compositions that fit the page layout and meet the deadline. An editor who needs those kinds of shots calls the right photographer. |
